Task properties
Basic Tab
This tab contains the information on the name of a task, its place in the hierarchy of projects and its hourly rate.
Project. The name of the project selected in the Projects list will be set by default for a newly created task. At that, you can select any other project from the drop down list of current projects, and the task will be moved to the project you have selected. Names of nested projects are compound with the help of the '\' separator. If such project does not exist, it will be created.
Task. The name of a task.
You can choose hourly rate definition, using the corresponding radio-buttons:
Inherit rate from project. In this case the hourly rate for this given task will be inherited from the same parameter for a project, to which this new task belongs.
Define own rate. Defining your own rate, which may differ from the one of a project.
Map Settings Tab
The Map settings tab of a task gives you an opportunity to have this particular task mapped to a specific window, or several windows. In general, this means that such task will start automatically, once you start working with a window, which parameters you have defined here. If this happens while you are working on another task, this task will be either stopped or paused, depending on your settings described below.
Enable windows mapping. To configure map settings for a task, you fist need to enable this option by checking in the corresponding checkbox.
Start behaviour. Define the start behavior for a mapped task. This parameter affects the behaviour of a mapped task towards a current running task – it can either pause or stop it.
Application mapping area. The mapping itself is performed within the area of the Applications list. To add the mapping, right click in this area, and choose the Add mapping option from the pop-up context menu – the list of currently running applications will be displayed. From this list, you can select one or more applications by checking in a checkbox by an application name. To complete configuring mapping settings, you will need to select how the mapping should be performed – for a whole window application (e.g., Microsoft Office Word), or for a specific window title (Help.doc).
The mapped applications will immediately appear in the Applications list of Task properties/Map settings. To delete an application from the list, select an application by clicking on it, right click within the Applications list area and select Delete mapping in the pop-up context menu.
Note, that a mapped task is marked by a special icon in the projects hierarchy (the Projects list area).
