Setting options for TS Reporter
Load options group.
The group of radio buttons in this section of the Options dialogue gives you the ability to control what part of all TS Reporter records is to be loaded at its startup.
All records. Allows you to load all TS Reporter records at its start up. This option set as default.
Records for numbers of last days. Allows you to set the limited number of days, for which TS Reporter records are to be loaded; in this case, the TS Reporter performance will be higher. The default value for this option is 180 days.
Compact options group.
Controls compacting all TS Reporter records on a specified task into one larger record that counts all time spent on this task during a day. At that, the spent time on a task in a compacted record equals the overall spent time, not a simple difference between the start time and the end time of the task records. Compacted task can not be edited. Pay your attention that a compacted task is marked by the purple letters while a regular task is displayed with the black letters.
Disable compacting. Allows disable compacting. All records will be loaded as is.
Enable compacting for days older then... Default option. Default value is 30 days. For instance, if you have enabled the compacting option for the number of days set to 30 days, this means that all records for a task, which are older than 30 days, will be compacted into one common task and you won’t be able to edit them. If you need to edit a record that has been compacted into one common record, you can increase the number of days in the Enable compacting option and then restart the TS Reporter, which will let you edit a record of a task.
