Setting backup properties for folder
To open the Properties dialog of a folder backup, select Folder\Folder properties in the main menu, or select Folders properties from the context menu of the Folders tree, or left double-click on a selected folder in the Folders tree.
Monitored. This checkbox allows to turn on/off the monitoring for a selected folder.
Filter mode
This group of radio buttons allows to setup the filter mode for files in a selected folder. Only files that meet the filtering criterion will be tracked by the System.
All files in folder. Indicates to the System that all files within a folder need to be monitored. New files created within this folder will be automatically added to the files list of the system monitoring.
Use templates. Indicates to the System that only files that correspond to the templates from the File templates list need to be monitored.
Manually added files only. Indicates to the System that only files added to the files list manually need to be monitored.
File templates
The list of file templates that is used in the filter mode Use templates. Templates can contain wildcard characters (* and ?). For example, to have the System monitor only text files within a folder, it is necessary to add the template *.txt to the list. To have the System monitor files Document1.doc, Document2.doc ... Document9.doc, it is necessary to add the template Document?.doc to the list.
- Add. Allows to add a new template from the entry field to the list.
- Edit. Allows to edit a template selected in the list.
- Remove. Allows to remove a selected template from the list.
Include hidden files. Allows to include hidden files into monitoring in the “All files in folder” and “Use templates” modes.
Include system files. Allows to include system files into monitoring in the “All files in folder” and “Use templates” modes.
Wait after change event. Pause in seconds before version creating. It used for prevent saving temporary files of some applications. Second reason is skiping a multiply serial savings of some applications.
