Working with Files List
Displays the list of files that are monitored by the System. Double left-clicking calls the dialogue for setting the parameters of backup copying for a selected file.
Check box located in front of a file name is the indicator of the monitoring status for a file. This checkbox gives a user the possibility to switch on and off the monitoring for a selected file on the fly.
The File name column indicates the file name.
The Status column displays a current monitoring status for a file, which can be of three types: Active (file is being monitored), Disabled (file monitoring has been stopped) and Broken (file not found by the Changes Saver agent).
File path. Displays the path to a file.
Make. Displays the settings of the mode for backup copying. There may be the following modes: Always (backup copying is performed at each file modification), Interval (backup copying is performed at file modification if the modification date is different from the last version date by no less than the indicated time interval) and Number (backup copying is performed after an indicated number of file modifications has been completed). The following symbols may be additionally present: A (the option of save approval has been selected), C (byte comparison of file with the latest version) and S (comparison of the file size with the size of the latest version).
The Versions column displays the number of saved versions of a file/set maximum number of stored versions.
Context menu of Files List
Properties. Calls the dialogue for setting parameters of backup copying for a file selected in the Files List.
Add new. Adds a new file for monitoring.
Start/Stop monitoring. Starts/stops monitoring of a selected file in the Files List.
Make version. Creates a version for a selected file in the Files List even at a stopped monitoring. If the file modification date matches the modification date of the latest version, then a new version does not get created.
Reassign. Reassign created versions of a selected file in the Files List to a different file. This functionality is helpful in a situation when a file has been moved to another directory or re-named and Changes Saver agent is unable to find it.
Open. Opens a file selected in the Files List.
Clear versions. Deletes all versions of a selected file, excluding the most recent one.
Delete. Deletes an entry on a file selected in the Files List together with its versions.
View style. Allows to select one of the three modes of viewing Files List: Report style (detailed information presented in the table format), List style (list divided into columns) and Icons style (each file is represented by an icon and brief name).
